Yoast Social tab allows you to set default descriptions for Facebook and Google+. Here is what the Social tab looks like:

Cheers Edensbox, I'll check it out. I really need to spend more time on this stuff. Most of my time is spent writing content (I love to write!) but as a result I keep falling behind on the technical stuff and then wonder why my site isn't ranked so well!
