The general tab on your post/page will look just like All in one SEO.
Here is an image of it:
In this section, you have the following:
- Focus Keyword - you can only put one keyword into this section
- SEO Title - auto generated for you. Also, I want to note that I read that it is good seo practice to put - Your site name after each of your titles. Yoast takes care of this for you.
- Meta Description - Your page description
Notice in between the Focus Keyword and Title, Yoast lists the following statistics about your post/page:
- Article Heading
- Page Title - should contain your keyword
- Page URL - should match your keyword
- Content - the number of times your keyword appears in your post/page
- Meta Description - the number of times your keyword appears in your description
As you can see in this image, there is also Page Analysis, Advanced and Social. I will cover each screen as we go along.
On the top right of your page, you will also see an SEO indicator. It looks like this:
For the example page I am using, you can see that I have achieved a green dot. This is indicating that the SEO is good. There are always room for improvement, but I have managed to get most of the on-page optimization done.
The indicator has the following colors:
- Red - very bad, needs a lot of work
- Yellow - getting better but still needs improvement
- Green - You got it!
On the next page, I am going to go through the Page Analysis tab.
Your training has put across far more eloquently than I can about this - so I'll stop here, and just say, thank you for posting!!
Cheers, Mark
