The advanced tab is where you would set your nofollow, noindex and some other settings.

Here is what the Advanced tab looks like:

• Meta Robots Index: this is where you would tell it to index or not index the page. You would use not index for things like your about page and privacy policy page.
• Meta Robots Follow: this is where you tell Google to follow or nofollow
• Meta Robots Advanced: this has some other options for your meta robot settings.
• Include in Sitemap: you can tell it to include or not include in sitemap. Again, you would not include in sitemap if it is items like your about page or privacy policy.
• Sitemap Priority: You can leave this as default most of the time. You can set the priority from 1 (highest priority) to .1 (lowest priority)
• Authorship: You can set this to show or not show authorship. For the most part, you will want it to always be show. I have also learned that this has resolved by issue with the rel=auth missing on some pages.
• Canonical URL: per Google, canonical URLs mean: "you can use canonical URLs to improve link and ranking signals for content available through multiple URL structures or via syndication"
• 301 Redirect: you can manually redirect this particular article to a new page on your site or on another site. You could use this to help prevent duplication of articles.
