This is a follow up to the email training video tutorial that Kyle Provided

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/creating-email-accounts-email-forwards-for-your-website

You can actually use your current Gmail account to check domain email.

In this video you will see me add an email account and then add that account to my gmail account so I can send and receive email for the domain through my preferred Gmail browser. This basically allows me to use all of gmail's features for my domain email account.

The pop address for WA email accounts is webmail dot (yourdomain.com). This address will be used in the video tutorial and you will see where to add it.

Please let me know if you use this feature on gmail and if you have any questions.

Update: 5-25-15

The send settings are slightly different than what they were back in 2013 when I did this video. You can find your info on the email page. notice in the outgoing, it is simply your domain and not your full email address. plus the hostname is different than your domain.

Thanks,

Bo the Webguy

Hey! Thanks for this video! but as it has been changed I cannot seem to make it work, it gives me authentication error. SMTP server: smtp.mydomain.com wont work, as the mydomain.com. What should I put under the SMTP server and port then? Thanks!

that is quite a bit of old training, see if this helps you achieve what you want

Sorry, I did this training nearly 3 years ago.. The WA site has changed quite a bit since then. The newer training mentioned by KatieMac is more up to date.. The word "Forwarding" on that training confuses the issue, because that is not what is being done in the training.

Forwarding email implies sending one email account to another. like if I wanted to send sales[at]explorenmb. com to explorenmb[at] gmail. com - That is a forward and can be done in the email section at wa.

Having explorenmb[at]gmail. com send and receive email as sales[at]explorenmb. com would be different than 'forwarding'

how time has moved on eh, perhaps it is time for WA to start removing much older training to reflect the updates eh.. hope all is going well still for you

Going well. Haven't been active on this site as much I should. Kyle and Carson continue to send me money every month on the first. I have a lot of websites hosted here that I use everyday. Love the interface and support
