Let's Setup Email Forwarding In GMail
1/ From the SiteRubix Manager, click on Site Email.
2/ Now click on the SMTP Settings button, as seen in the image above.
3/ Take note of the settings as you will use this information later on in the tutorial.
Now open GMail in your internet browser, accessing the Settings from the Cog Wheel on the top right hand side.
4/ Click on Settings
5/ From the window that opens, as seen above, click on Accounts and Import in the top menu.
6/ In the section entitled Send Mail As: - click on Add Another Email Address
A new dialogue box appears.
7/ By default a name appears in the Name Field, you may change this or leave it as is.
8/ Click in the next field and type in the name of the New Forwarding Email Address you created in WA Hosting, then click on Next Step.
Another new dialogue box appears, this is where you use the SMTP Information provided by WA Hosting from your Forwarding Email Address you created.
10/ By default, the domain name you put in for your email address in the previous dialogue box is inserted in this first SMTP Settings field box, after the word smtp. Check that this confirms with the SMTP Information you noted earlier in the tutorial.
11/ In the Password Field, type in the password provided by WA for SMTP Settings.
12/ Make sure that the Port field has 25 in it, change it if it is different.
13/ When you are happy that you have correctly put in all the SMTP Information, click on the Add Account button.
14/ Test your new email by selecting the New Forwarding Email in the To: field of your GMail account and send it the New Forwarding Email address too! Check to see that you receive the email in your GMail Account you've chosen for the Forwarding Email Address.
