I must let you know that apart from your theme locations, you can add a menu to other parts of your website. It will include sidebar and footers, making your website easy to navigate.
Create the menu just like we have done above, Do not forget to save the menu. Keeping it simple I will like to place my privacy policy on my footer
Now you can select the navigation menu widget, click on it. You will see a drop-down, now select footer bar has shown below.
Go to your footer widget, pick the navigation menu and title it accordingly. Do not forget the select the appropriate menu before clicking the save button and Done

Thanks for the great reply Georg. If I understood you correctly pages can be for broad overview of a subject whereas posts are subjects specific?
