Creating a website with platforms like WordPress can be so much fun. Unfortunately, many of us used to think we need to learn coding to create one. This thought kept me from building one until I joined Wealthy Affiliate, where I learnt that you can create one within seconds.

The way Kyle handled it in his training titled setting up your website is amazing. It led me to further research and a call to develop good looking websites.

I will be taking a look at how to use WordPress as a beginner. I will start from the basics with issues like how to create a post and add navigation menu. In my next training I will address how to insert links and images. After I continue with understanding categories and tags, the issue of image optimization will also be addressed.

In case there are things I left out, kindly use the comment section to make suggestions and contributions. Also if you have questions, I will be glad to answer them in the comment section. I believe this will help me update this training on regular basis.

Great training. Just wondering, what are the benefits of pages?

Pages contrary to posts, are static and contain more general information such as About you, privacy policy etc. Posts will be alive, can change, have comments, will be updated and are all relevant to your niche only.

Thanks for the great reply Georg. If I understood you correctly pages can be for broad overview of a subject whereas posts are subjects specific?

@ siamjerry, thank you. You did excellent justice to d question

@ccelest just like he said post are dynamic and this is y they carry 4 unique features that pages don't carry

1) They come with date

2) They come with authors name

3) They come with comments

4) They allow social sharing.

This training is good to review what we learned in the beginning. Yesterday, I wrote a post from site content, but I was unable to publish it from there. So I logged in website first, then, write from the back office as you direct here. Then, I was able to publish it.

Yes, a review and a reminder is good. They help us remember what we learnt in time past.
I am glad you found it useful
