9. Never Use Generic Email Addresses
Your emails will look impersonal and robotic when you use a generic address.
Avoid these email addresses:
- admin@example.com
- marketing@example.com
- support@example.com
- noreply@example.com
To build a relationship, you should send your email to a real person. A face to your brand will make them more likely to open an email.
10. Engage with Your Subscribers
Encourage recipients to respond to your emails to increase engagement. If you have a small list, you can ask them to contact you directly. However, if you have a larger list, you might run a survey to obtain direct feedback.
If you don’t contact people for weeks, or even months, you won’t be in the recipient’s thoughts. Send out emails with engaging content and compelling propositions at least once per month. Sending too many emails is not a good idea. This will result in high unsubscribe rates, and you could be blacklisted for spam.
