5. Content is king!
Kyle said it often enough. Content is so incredibly important for a website or webshop.
For those who do not know what content is, I will explain briefly. Content is the collective word for all texts, pictures and videos on the website.
First of all, it is so important because content is the primary reason for a visitor to visit a website. If you have a webshop which sells per example clothes, make sure there are high quality images on it where you can see these clothes. But also take care of a good description of the clothes in question. What should the customer know about these clothes? State it! Are you an adviser in some line of work and you have a website?
Make sure that there are good texts on the website that accurately describe why they should be hiring you and not your competitor.
Do not leave anything by chance.
Know that you can say and explain your work with a lot of texts, but one image often says more than 1000 words and one video shows more than 1000 images.

For your position in Google and other search engines, good content is also very important and often even decisive. Google indexes websites based on all the texts that are present on the website. Through the texts on the website, Google knows what kind of website it is, and that makes your website appear in search results as soon as someone searches for words related to your service or product.
6. Conversion targeting
Conversion targeting is what many webshops (big or small) do every day.
It's a good indicator to determine if a web store is good or not.
Conversion is the percentage of visitors who visit to the total number of visitors
who actually buy or order something on the website.
The higher the conversion rate, the better. Make sure the website is conversion-oriented.
This is done by keeping the purchase processes as simple as possible.
Ways to do this are:
- Do realize that not every visitor is the same
- Write good, honest and detailed review
- Do not scare off potential buyers by including an aggressive flashing button with 'order here
- Don't overdo your call to actions, when people want to buy, they will look for it. Be sure the one CTA you have is clear
- Add an image of the product you want to sell
- Create a link to your email address: Do you have a question about this product? Click here (email is opening)
- Show your product with a video
- Create scarcity, 5 more in stock
- Everyone wants the product as soon as possible: Ordered Today, Delivered Tomorrow
- Show your visitors, when possible, how many other people have already purchased this product. Social confirmation is important!
- Give detailed information, for example, when selling clothes, a size chart is indispensable on the product page
In addition to the features, tell all the benefits
- Handy, small, and fits in every purse and handbag
- Highly robust and solid
- Because of the neutral color, it fits with every out-fit
