You will see something similar when you first click on Site Comments.
Let's start at the top and work our way down. you will see the tabs at the top, we have Site Comments selected at the moment and this will show you your current dashboard.
Request Comments - this is accessible by either clicking the top menu item 'Request Comments' or you can click the Button which has "Request Comments' in green text. It will also display the number of credits you have available. It takes 2 credits to request one comment on a post on your website.
You can also boost your comment requests by offering 10 comments in a 24-hour period
Earn Credits - this is accessible by either clicking the top menu item 'Earn Credits' or by clicking the Button with 'Offer Comments' in blue text. You will earn one credit for offering a comment on a website.
So, doing the math you offer 2 comments to earn enough to request one comment on your website.
This is about the Pay-it-forward mentality.
My Settings - this is where you update your interests to ensure you see websites and posts that you are interested in and are more able to offer insightful comments on. We will be going through 'Interests' later in the training.
Take a Tour - I highly recommend anyone who hasn't used the new Site Comments 2.0 platform and any new member to take this tour.
Below the menu items, you will see my current status towards being a certified commenter. In a 30 day period, I have offered 15 comments, with a 100% approval rating and a 12% skip rate.
Why are these figures important???
Because, if you offer more than 50 in a 30-day period you can start earning cash credits. But to qualify you need to ensure your approval rating is above 80% and your skip rate is below 20%.
Throughout this training, I will be sharing hints and tips to ensure we get approved comments and do not skip too many.
Next up, we will going the process of requesting comments
I've been involved in several discussions recently about Site Comments. It's obvious that some members haven't read the guidelines and do many of the things you point out they shouldn't!
It's frustrating for the site owner as no one wants to disapprove a comment, and also for the commenter who gets rejected.
Maybe there should be a quiz you have to take before you're allowed to comment :-)
Let's hope those who need to read this do :-)
