Final Thoughts

Let go of the obsession with word count. Instead, write concise and thorough blog posts that engage readers and follow SEO best practices.

To ensure you get higher rankings, do keyword researches before you start writing and check who is ranking for that title on Google's first page (you don’t want to compete with huge companies).

Use keywords in your titles and descriptions, and write the remaining content naturally, keeping the keyword in mind.

While some posts can beup to 1500+ words, other topics may warrant that you write above 2000 words to make them as detailed as possible for readers’ consumption. Also, note that Google values long-form content, as it contains in-depth information about a specific topic.

That’s why you would see over 95% of the top-ranking pages having content pieces of 2000 words and above.

When you are new to blogging, writing can be a challenge but if you aim for 1300 words with a solid keyword title and subheadings that answer questions you will be fine.

Lily I agree with you whole heartily. That is why I find it hard to wrap my head around "AI". I like to create my own ideas even thou I haven't been doing much lately. I am hoping to get back at it
soon. Unless you can ask questions completely detailing your project you won't get the answers that will be helpful. You have to guide it to and through your content to get relevant subject matters. Since that becomes extremely involved, you just might ask yourself the same questions and answer them and keep on going.

I know this is a simple answer but it will keep you out of copywrite & Plagiarism territory. Just remember, One question gives the composite of millions of published articles. If you get caught with an AI answer and exposed and you integrity goes out the window.

Using AI to create areas that are important to your Niche and writing about those subjects in your own words can be extremely useful.

As I said earlier in this comment I agree with your tutorial 100%. How I got onto this subject is from talking about length of content & the first thing to come into my mind is people using AI to add content. It could be a trap if not used properly.

I found your tutorial very to the point and helpful.

You are most welcome Edward. it's definitely important to write all your articles in your own words. AI can be helpful in opening up ideas but it could be a slippery slope. 😉

Thank you for sharing this tutorial, Lily.
I sometimes hit about 1100 words for some posts, nevertheless, when I got new ideas for that particular post, I will go back to that post and add a few more lines to it.
I tend to be paranoid when a new post only hits around 1100 words lol.

Do not fall into the trap of jumbling too many ideas in one post just to reach a target word count, clarity is very important. Every post should have a single target keyword and every word in the post should be easily linked to that keyword.

That said; longer posts, between 1000 and 2000 words, should be your goal.

Thank you for the valuable information about content length.
I write long and short forms; it depends.
It's essential to have a Table of Content for posts; readers can always skip to the exact information they need.

Absolutely and I often make sure that I answer the question at the very beginning. It often gets picked up for the snippet. Google likes this.
