Step 2: Navigate to Facebook Ads Manager

Facebook Ads Manager is the tool that manages your ad campaigns on its platform. You can access Ads Manager directly on http://facebook.com/ads or from the drop-down menu on your Facebook account. You can also access the Ads Manager when you click on any of the CTAs on your Facebook page.

Once in Ads Manager, navigate with the menu on the left-hand side of your page to begin your campaign. Your campaign kicks off in earnest when you click on the green button at the top right-hand corner of your page.

Step 3: Align Your Objective with Available Options on Facebook

The Facebook Ads Manager provides you with 15 options for what you want to achieve from your ad campaign. These options can be broadly categorized into 3 namely:

I. Awareness- This objective is focused on generating interest of your brand, which could be your products, services, business, an event, etc.

Under this category, you can boost your posts or promote your page, or you can reach people who are near your business and increase your reach.

It is advisable for small businesses to focus on this category to help them build awareness of their offers.

II. Consideration- This is an objective that is targeted at getting people into thinking about your brand and willing to seek more information about it.

Campaigns under this category may be targeted at sending people to a particular location which could be on Facebook or outside it, generate sales lead for your business and encourage people to download and install your app.

III. Increase Conversions- This objective is focused on getting people to claim your offer or buy products or services at your store.

Once your objective has been aligned with what is provided by Facebook, you can then name your marketing campaign.

I have some questions.
Have you had any Facebook account shutdown problem including ad account, business manager, even Facebook account itself?
How did you overcome the problem and were you able to recover the accounts, especially personal profile.
And how?

I was running facebook ad last month and one day facebook disabled my personal account and still haven't got it back.

I have a question and it's a doozy! I have a Facebook "fan" page or whatever you want to call it and I also have a website where I have been writing articles and listing some products (handmade boots) where links take you to that affiliate site. If I want to start Facebook ads, would it be best for me to have my ads go to my website (to the particular page of that targeted ad) or go straight to the affiliate site?

Send them to a specific page on your website that "warms up" the reader to purchasing. This is called a landing page. Then that page sends them to the affiliate link.

Hey thomhee, if you are planning to explore Facebook ad campaigns for your affiliate marketing business, the best way to do that is to direct your FB ads to the product page on your site while customers are then redirected from there to the affiliate product page.

Israel, just created my first ad and I'm waiting for approval. One question, It did ask me if I wanted to create a pixel and I do kind of know what that is and what that is for, but would it help me since I'm trying to send traffic to my affiliate partner? I would think it would only do any good if I was actually selling on my site.

Thank you Israel.

I'm not using Facebook yet. I've always kinda had the fear of getting into it as a business
