Fill Out Relevant Information

Once the verification process is done, do not end it there. You’re going to need to fill out relevant information about your business and make sure it’s accurately done and updated. There’s nothing more quashing than a Google My Business listing with the inaccurate opening times. Don’t forget to include holiday times or some special hours.

Ensure to maintain the business name as a business name indeed – do not force into an inadequate space with a scheming keyword or you’ll put your business at a risk of infracting Google’s guidelines.

Craft a concise and captivating description in compliance to Google’s guidelines and select a relevant category. There’s a comparatively new feature known as Services whereby you are allowed to add products or services to your existing business, which will, of course, help in the process of categorizing your business from both users’ point of view and search engines.

Ensure you are consistent with your name, address and phone number (NAP), as well as with other vital business information. When mistakes occur, they bring about a huge difference to your local rankings.

Thanks Israel,
I have a local website and implemented this today. It was quite useful. There is a whole new section called "website" which gives users a free ".business.site" website. I will see how useful this is in the SERP's.
I was helping a friend do the same, she has a .com website in this niche and we both setup a ".business.site" to link to our back office online stores, hopefully we can get both of hers on page 1 of Google

Hey Claudio, thanks for leaving a thought! Yes, once you can make your information relevant enough (Local SEO) to satisfy user's intent, you're going to have your business presented first in search results or featured in snippets for users who need the information. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for dropping by, Joseph! Glad you found the training helpful and useful! You can search as explained in the tutorial if an existing Google My Business (GMB) account has been created for you before. Once you've confirmed, verify the business name if that hasn't been done yet for you.
