Niche Profitability

The reason for submitting potential keywords from your market niche to these vendors is all about money.The big industry money makers have the money to test the market.Most webmasters like you and I don’t have deep pockets.We can’t afford to spend money testing niche markets but we can be smart and look for opportunities to market our website within the profitable niches they have spent money to identify.

Understand that marketing is all about targeting and promoting to specific audiences of people.Some people find comfort using Google while others love Amazon.Some people love education so they are likely to go to ClickBank or Udemy or Skillshare.

So in a nutshell, after you have found the top keywords your target niche is likely to use, here is what to do next:

1.Type each of your top five keywords (or long tail keyword phrases) into the search engines of each of the Big Market Retailers one at a time.

2.If/when a search comes up, scroll through the items listed and look for how many products these retailers have to fit the need in the niche you have selected.

3.If there are no products, courses, services or programs offered, move on to the next keyword in your list and repeat. (Rinse and Repeat)

To find a profitable niche, all you need to do is find one of the keywords on your list that matches a product, program or service offered on one of the Big Market Retailers. If you get a hit with more than one that’s great.

Here are some guidelines to look for:

GOOGLE:

·Search for “your keyword” eBook and “your keyword” Course

·Look for ads and articles. Search the sites and see what they offer for sale.(No ads means no profit.)

·If no one is selling for the keyword you entered, move on to the next keyword (Rinse and Repeat)

·If none of your keywords produce, it is likely that your niche will not be profitable for this test with Google.

CLICKBANK

·Go to “Clickbank MarketPlace”. Search for “your keyword”

·Look for products for your market niche with a Gravity of 40 or above

·An audience with a gravity of 40 or above is an active, buying audience.

·If you don’t find a product with a 40 or above Gravity, move on

·Rinse and repeat with each keyword

(The purpose of the “gravity score” is to show how successfully a product
is being promoted by affiliates.

A higher gravity score suggests that many affiliates are promoting
the product and making sales.)

AMAZON KINDLE

·Using “Your keyword” in the search, go to the Kindle Bookstore and click on the first couple of books listed

·Scroll down to best seller ranks.If your keyword is in the top 150,000 chance are you have a winner.

·If not, Rinse and Repeat with each keyword on your list

·If none of your keywords produce a best seller in the top 150,000 with Amazon, move on

UDEMY

·Go to Udemy.com

·Search for your key word

·Look for a paid course with active students

·If you find courses for sale with active students you can be certain that your audience will pay for solutions

·If you don’t find any related courses, move to the next key word

·If you’ve gone through all five key words with no success, consider this a failed test and move on

SKILLSHARE

·Go to Skillshare.com

·Search for your first keyword/keyword phrase

·Look for a paid course with active students

·If you find courses for sale with active students you can be certain that your audience will pay for solutions

·If you don’t find any related courses, move to the next key word

·If you’ve gone through all five key words with no success, consider this a failed test

You may find that several of your keywords yield good results on Google or Amazon Kindle but not on Udemy or Skillshare. As long as there is evidence of an active buying market in one or two of the big market retailers, there is a good likelihood that you have found a profitable niche. Not only that, you may have discovered a need in the market place for creating your own money-making course or eBook.
