1 - Google vs. Bing

A slight difference in the algorithm of one search engine may lead to major differences in how search results are displayed in both search engines.

For keywords, Bing takes targeted keywords very seriously and you're likely to rank on the search engine for the keywords you target, while Google is more focused on the context and meaning of your content, not just the keywords.

Also, Meta keywords are important metrics used by Bing for ranking while Google doesn't accord this much importance.

For backlinks, the quality of backlinks to your website matters a lot first before quantity is considered, while Bing straight up gives both quality and quantity of backlinks similar importance. Bing also gives priority to backlinks from sites with top level domains such as .gov, .org, and .edu.

Google doesn't attach much importance to social media when computing search ranking (except it’s used to justify backlinks), while Bing counts a lot on your social media profile and activities.

And for the content format; Google's main focus is on text, although images and videos are also important. But for Bing, your videos and images can be better understood by its search engine. So, the more of images and videos you have mixed with text, the better your search ranking.

Thank you for this insight,

Every time I think of how Google has positioned it self with quality. My honest heart desire is that I need to position my self and my business with quality content.

This is the only metrics that will not change and will stand the test of time

Wow, what a wonderful goal, Ayodeji! I could remember the period 1996-1998 when I created my first Gmail! Google was just coming up gradually, though hadn't yet taken over the ranking of sites in full prior to 1998 that it actually did. No one (including Sergey Brin, Larry Page) ever knew that Google would go this far by 2020, but actually saw it happen as a result of dishing out quality at all times. So, you are good to go with your goal.

I knew that Bing and Yahoo were hand in hand, so to speak, but I didn't know the differences you brought out.

Personally I use Google OR Duck Duck Go.
