What is the Product-Focused Method
To be clear, this is not a new method I invented. I just named it my way as I didn't see any other specific name for it. If there is one, my apologies.
This method begins with the question, "What product would help solve a problem that my audience is facing?"
Of course, that assumes that you know the problems your audience is trying to solve. You've already done some research. Or perhaps you chose this niche because you know the problems first-hand. Either way, you target a product to promote that you are confident will add value to your readers' lives.
Let's start with an example from one of my own niches, caring for elderly parents.
Define the Problem
Many people lose their hearing as they age. This can make listening to TV shows more difficult, especially when others are in the room. They want the TV set to a normal volume. The older person needs a higher volume in order to hear. And when the family begins talking, the senior person completely loses the ability to follow the show. He gets frustrated, perhaps even angry.
