Facial Recognition

Picasa can help organize your photos with the facial recognition feature. It will ask you to identify a few faces and then it can find and tag all of the people in your photo library by name. The tags make it easy to search for people.

Favorite Photos

Each photo has an option to have a star (favorite) tag. When looking through a large amount of photos this feature comes in handy. I reviewed all of my photos and the ones that I felt would work best in my internet business I placed a star. So when I am looking for a picture to use with a website or blog I begin my search with my starred photos that are organized in a favorite photo album.

Search

There is an awesome google search box at the top of Picasa to search your photos. It has a number of ways for you to search your photos. Search by name, tags, extensions, file names, exposure, etc.

Task Tray

The task tray is located on the bottom left hand side of your Picasa home screen. It holds the photos that you select . Use the pin or hold button keep the pictures in the tray that you want to work with. If you are planning to upload a batch of photos, create a collage, make a You Tube or DVD just place and hold the photos for your project in the task tray.

Tags

Use tags to organize and search your photos, each photo can have more than one tag,

Email

To email a photo click on the email icon at the bottom of the screen. You will then be asked if you want to send the email with your Outlook Account or gmail. Enter your email address and password.
