Use the Acquisition Reports to compare the performance of different marketing channels to see which ones send you the highest quality of traffic.
Isn't this the primary one we should be concerned with? All of the reports are good but this one should be the first thing you look at to see where your traffic is coming from and to understand if it is quality traffic.
TRAFFIC SHOULD BE HIGH QUALITY
A good indicator of traffic quality can be bounce rate. Check out this example. They used the Comparison View located on the right side of the screen. You can see here that YouTube has a high bounce rate.
This will need to be investigated to find out why there is such a high bounce rate.Another thing I love about the Acquisition Reports is the the Network Referrals report. I like to add the Secondary Dimension and select the Landing Page under Behavior.
In this example, you can see what social network your traffic is coming from and what Landing Page they are going to.
My biggest concern in the last several weeks has been this issue right here. Where is all of my traffic coming from and is it quality traffic?I am in the WA Bootcamp training where we are learning about PPC and I want to make sure I'm choosing the highest converting and lowest bounce rate article that still gets good traffic. I don't want to spend money sending traffic to a page that has no chance of converting.
This is one area in Google Analytics that we all need to spend some quality time in.
Lastly, let's get into the Behavior Reports.
