I like the last one. Let’s put a border around the image, though. Look for the "Shape" icon and click to choose the rectangle.

I place the border around the image in the center of the slide.

Oh, no! Where did my picture go? There’s a box in front of it now. Let’s move it to the back: Follow these steps to fix it: Click Arrange > Order > Send to back

Huh. The picture is back, but you can barely see the border!

Select the border, then click on the lines icon to increase it to 4 pt. Now we have this:

Whoa! That’s kind of cool! A simple image just got more professional-looking, and more integrated into the meme, just by bordering it with a gray line. I’m going to follow the same steps to put a border line around the entire thing.

I like the borders, but that last step turned the background boring gray. Go to the last page of this tutorial to see how to fix that.

Thank you for this. I didn't know anything about googles' offerings. Call me out of touch, but exactly is a meme? I've heard the word used but never really understood what it means

The term "meme" means one of those photo graphics with a short caption, comment, or quip. They're usually funny, sometimes controversial, and mostly not professional graphic design. They are all over Facebook and Instagram, and for some people, they're the main way they communicate on social media sites. (I'm pretty sure it's pronounced "meem," by the way.)

Hi there :)

Thanks for the tutorials, but I think using Canva.com would be quicker and produce better results.

Give it a go.

You're welcome. I dislike any app that has in-app purchases. I have a knack for always choosing the one they are going to charge me for when I went in expecting "free."
