That last version of our meme was mostly good, but what’s with the light gray background? It came with the outside border. Let’s change it. I’ll click on the background surrounding the photo image. Now, I’m looking for the paint bucket icon to fill it with a better color.

Ooh, I like that blue! I’ll try a couple of others, including black. (I have to change the text to a light color or to white if I make the background black.)

Don’t be afraid to try new things! That undo button is always waiting. Try out several colors that work with the color scheme of your site. Or just pick a color that you think is eye-catching!

Final step: to save your slide as an image you can use for marketing:

Click File > Download As > JPEG (.jpg image, current slide)

Now you have a meme to use for ads, social media, or featured images on a post!

Thank you for this. I didn't know anything about googles' offerings. Call me out of touch, but exactly is a meme? I've heard the word used but never really understood what it means

The term "meme" means one of those photo graphics with a short caption, comment, or quip. They're usually funny, sometimes controversial, and mostly not professional graphic design. They are all over Facebook and Instagram, and for some people, they're the main way they communicate on social media sites. (I'm pretty sure it's pronounced "meem," by the way.)

Hi there :)

Thanks for the tutorials, but I think using Canva.com would be quicker and produce better results.

Give it a go.

You're welcome. I dislike any app that has in-app purchases. I have a knack for always choosing the one they are going to charge me for when I went in expecting "free."
