The image is way too big, and it’s not the sort of picture that can have writing superimposed. I’ll shrink it, and center it in the box. I chose a square picture for this, but any shape will work with a little bit of adjusting. Let’s give some words to the happy, surprised me.

See the text box icon? (Or you can use “Insert” again. I’m going to place a text box on the slide.

Another text box at the bottom of the slide…

Huh. That text is way too small. And I like it centered for a meme.

Move on to the next page to see what kinds of editing we can do to fix this up.

Thank you for this. I didn't know anything about googles' offerings. Call me out of touch, but exactly is a meme? I've heard the word used but never really understood what it means

The term "meme" means one of those photo graphics with a short caption, comment, or quip. They're usually funny, sometimes controversial, and mostly not professional graphic design. They are all over Facebook and Instagram, and for some people, they're the main way they communicate on social media sites. (I'm pretty sure it's pronounced "meem," by the way.)

Hi there :)

Thanks for the tutorials, but I think using Canva.com would be quicker and produce better results.

Give it a go.

You're welcome. I dislike any app that has in-app purchases. I have a knack for always choosing the one they are going to charge me for when I went in expecting "free."
