Hosting Your Lead Magnet

There are 3 ways to host your lead magnet:

1. Google Drive
2. Dropbox
3. on your own site

I will show you how to do all 3. So just choose one and move on.

But first, you'll need to create your Download Page. Here's what to do. it's easy...

In your wp-admin area, go to Pages > Add New, and then enter your title. Just put "Download" and whatever your lead magnet is called.

Next, write something like "Thank you for signing up, here's your copy:". And right below it, you can link to your lead magnet.

And finally, you will need to noindex it so it doesn't appear in the search engines.

Before you hit the publish button, you'll need somewhere to put your PDF. Pick one:

Option #1: Google Drive

The first thing to do is go to your Google Drive dashboard. Hit the blue NEW button that's right under the logo and then File Upload.

Choose your PDF, let it do its thing, and you're good.

Now it's in your Drive.

The next thing is the link.

You can either get it from your dashboard...

Or from the PDF file page...

Whichever one you use, go and add it to your download page.

Option #2: Dropbox

The first thing to do is to go to your Dropbox account. If you don't have one, create one. It's totally free.

When you're ready, click the blue UPLOAD FILES button.

Let it upload your PDF to your account. When it's done, click on it.

Then, click on it the SHARE button. It's blue. :P

From there, you'll have to create a shareable link.

When you click the SHARE button, a box will pop up. This is where you'll be able to create a link.

Copy the link and add it to your download page.

Option #3: Your Site

Hosting your lead magnet on your own site is probably the easiest way out of the 3.

All you have to do is upload it to your site, just like how you would with regular images...

And then copy its link and add it to your download page.
