Guest Posting Vs. Article Marketing

IF you have done article marketing in the past, you may already know about posting on other website for SEO and backlinks. If not, you can definitely do so, but I would only recommend using the top 4 or 5 article marketing website for this.

  • Hubpages.com
  • EzineArticles.com
  • ArticleBase.com
  • Buzzle.com
  • and perhaps ArticleCity.com

These have high page rank and are really the only ones still valued. There are a few select others that other members may mention, but I wouldn't waste a lot of time on them. Guest posting will serve you better.....

Article marketing sites as you may or may not know cover a huge number of topics and categories. They still get a decent amount of traffic, but the recent search engine changes have shown that these backlinks have been devalued in comparison to a Guest Blogging or Guest Posting backlink. These website can be blasted with articles with old or current "article marketing software". The search engines know this.

The link from a niche related website is going to provide much more targeted website traffic for you and thereby, be more value when your link shows up in Google or Bing's search functions.

Sidebar:

You'll want to research your intended website for the guest posting, checking PA (Page Authority) and more importantly DA (Domain Authority). DA being more important because, as you know (if your blogroll is your homepage) your post will roll off the homepage shortly and eventually get archived.

Thank you for the training. With EzineArticles.com...I wrote 3 articles a while back. I used to contribute articles to article directories. I'm glad to know I can do this to increase my website traffic.

There's just no stopping you PJ you're on a roll! Great tutorial. I've published many articles on Ezine over the years and they definitely do give you credibility. Also searching for high ranking blogs in your niche and commenting (sensibly) on them can give you solid backlinks. Thanks again for your hard work.
