Hello to you all, this is the third lesson in HTML - that is a continuation from the last 2 lessons
As there is a great deal to learn about HTML, I want to keep these lessons simple and practical and I want you to be able to take away things that you can actually use in your business and on your websites.
So here is what you are going to learn in this training
Understanding links
How to create an external link
How to create an internal link
An over view of the affiliate marketing model
How to use LSI keywords
How to structure and link your pages together for maximum SEO benefit
Site structure planning using LSI keywords
How to create and track links using the pretty link plugin
We are lucky really, as we all have the use of Wordpress, which does most of the heavy lifting for us, but we do need to be fluent in a few aspects of HTML and in this lesson we will be focusing on a subject that is very important to all affiliate marketers and webmasters which is the subject of LINKS.
So let us begin with the question. What is a link?
Well links are without doubt the most important part of the internet, because what links actually do, is connect one page on the internet to another page and considering that the whole internet is a giant web like structure, without links it simply could not exist.
The web spiders that Google and other search engines use to crawl the internet, to find and index your site depend completely on links to get from one web page to another.
It is important to note that many people do not really understand how Google works and one of the things you need to understand is this:
Google does not rank websites, it ranks web pages, as every page has its own unique URL (Web Address)
To the web crawlers and Google, every page on your site is unique, however through the use of links we can structure web pages to create a whole website.
So hopefully by now you are starting to see how important links actually are, lets take a look at some of the most important links that we, as web masters and affiliate marketers need to be familiar with.
1. Internal Links
2. External links
3. Affiliate links
4. Back links
The above list contains the 4 main types of links that we are going to be learning about and the various ways that they are constructed with the use HTML code.
So the first step is to learn how to create a link using HTML code.
To do this we will begin with the Tag that is needed and the tag we need for all links is the
<a></a> Tag
The<a> tag is used because the <a> tag stands for anchor, the best way to think about this is to think about the word anchor - what does an anchor do, well it connects a ship to the sea bed.
The the best way to understand the <a> tag is like an anchor, when we link one page to another, the <a> tag is the anchor which holds one page to another just like a ships anchor holds or connects a ship to the sea bed, so an anchor is what connects or holds two things together and of course an anchor has a chain and the chain has links that connect it all together, so you see it makes perfect sense to use the <a> tag or anchor tag for creating links in HTML
I didn't know about LSI, so I'm glad I went through your training.
All the best & Thanks for sharing such quality content.
Have a great day,
