Writing high-quality, engaging content can be an extremely hard work, especially on long term. The key is to have enough content ideas and a clearly defined multi-step content creation framework.
In this tutorial I am going to share with you a content creation framework that will help you to craft well-branded, consistent and engaging content pieces.
Let's see the first step ...
1. Considerations regarding your target audience
As I already said, if everybody is doing it one way, there's a good chance you can find your success by going exactly in the opposite direction.
In other words: trying to satisfy some sort of "general interest" is a bad idea. Believe me, making everybody happy it's simply impossible. This is why you need to keep your target audience in mind when you are creating your content.
More than that, if you really want to create something they'd want to read, you should create your own reader personas. It may sound a bit scary, but it's really not rocket science. A persona is nothing else, but a simple description of your main target audience. And most likely you already know a lot of things about your readers.
And if you don't, just ask yourself a few simple questions regarding their:
- age
- gender
- education level
- occupation
- income level
- marital status
- hobbies
- problems
- needs
- lifestyle
- fears
- priorities
- and so on ...
Creating a simple description or profile of your main target audience will help you in many ways:
- first of all, will help you to generate relevant and engaging content ideas
- which will help you to create content faster
- will help you to find the best promotional avenues and strategies
- and of course, will dramatically increase your engagement and conversion rates
The point: before anything else, you need to know who you are writing for. And i'll tell you a better one: you need to know who you are NOT writing for!
good show, Zed! ⭐️
appreciate the time & effort your part to pull all this together for all of our benefit ..
.... relax & enjoy a wonderful weekend, cheerio... 😊
That's quite long tutorial. I enjoyed reading it and you have included some great tips we can follow and implement. I liked the idea on "cooling-off period" and come back to the draft and refine it later. I did it myself and it has been helpful to really refine your ideas, make the necessary tweaking and add more relevant ideas on the second visit.
The part where you ask one or two reviews before publishing or refining the article was quite challenging but I still believe it's doable. I wish we can have it within our WA platform where you can submit your draft article for someone to review. Great ideas here.
Thanks for a thorough training. Appreciated.
