For some unknown reason some things go viral, think Gangnam Style, Susan Boyle, etc. I am sure you can think of some other example. For some reason, everyone seems to be talking about it for awhile.
Obviously if you think about it, this has great potential if you could consistently write content that goes viral your life would be much easier. Social media, SEO and any other traffic generation strategies would be small comparing to the potential of an article that goes viral and everyone talks about it.
Seeing the excellent potential this has it is normal that people have started to study this phenomenon, and they have found that not everything is good luck. There are some techniques to increase the chances of your content going viral.
I have being doing some research and found some exceptional resources that explain this process. I would refer anyone interested to 3 books
-Contagious: Why things catch on by Jonah Berger
-Made to stick: Why some ideas survive and others die by Chip and Dan Health
-The tipping point: How little things can make a big difference by Malcolm Gladwell
Here, I’ll try to outline the most important parts of all this, so anyone has a better chance of writing content that goes viral
I suppose I do not have to explain the great potential this has. If, you could harness this ability and write viral content with consistency you would be in for an extraordinary amount of traffic and potential revenue.
I will explain the theory behind all this, and at the end I will show you the checklist I have developed to try make my content as viral as possible.
