As I have said at the beginning this is kind of an overview of the whole thing, anyone interested in going deeper should check out the books I recommended at the beginning.
Obviously your content doesn’t need to have all the characteristics to go viral, it can go viral with just a few. Having as much as possible clearly helps.
Also don’t go mad with this. If you focus only in having these characteristics in your content, you could end up having a crazy blogpost that in the end is unreadable. Just try to have these characteristics in mind when you write and try to incorporate them in your normal way of writing.
To finish with these tutorial, I just want to show you a little checklist I have to make this process easier.
-First find the core message of your blogpost. This could even change while you are writing but revisit it at the end. You need to still be able to identify a core message.
-Emotion you are going to trigger: I have found it is easier to focus on one emotion in an article, if you try to mix it up, it could lose power or overcomplicate your post.
-Understand your audience: This is something you should have already done it, but it is never a bad idea to recheck it.
-The core concepts you are going to transmit: is different from the message, in every post you are usually going to be teaching something, think about what are these concepts and if they are clear. As with the message do it before and after because they could change while writing.
-Keywords I am going to target. As always important for SEO, when you have a loyal audience these could lose importance but at the beginning lots of them are going to come this way.
-How am I going to get their attention?: as always your content is worthless if nobody reads it. This is usually done with a captivating headline.
After that, I like to ask myself a few question per characteristic. I won’t put them here because it extends the tutorial too much and they are pretty basic, so I think is better if you develop your own, it is really easy.
To wrap up I just would like to say that English isn’t my first language, I am Spanish, so I am sorry for any mistake I could have committed either in spelling or grammar. Please tell me so I can solve it. And if you have any question or suggestion I would love to hear from you.
