6. Use of Media
Use all sources of media on your website can be good and bad.
Video
When you use a video, you have to place it below the fold. The fold is the part of the website what is visible when your visitor enters your website. And the first part that loads. A video can slow down the first loading of your website.
Infographic
Visual made numbers or text are always more attractive to your readers.
Music
When you insist to use music on your website, give your visitor the choice to turn it on. I personally hate it when suddenly out of the blue some music starts to play. And I have to search where the heck that sound is coming from. Be careful with automatic starting music and video talk. It can kick your reader out.

Totally awesome advice as ever Loes.
I love that you tell us to put ourselves into the post, with our own anecdotes. This will happen quite naturally when you become more confident, so it’s always wise to go back to old posts to see where they can be improved.

Really good points on writing a blog your visitors will actually read. When I'm on a website with a whole page of writing & nothing else, I don't stay long. The same goes for websites with several spelling & grammar errors or lots of advertisements. I agree with you about music on a website. Let your reader choose if they want to listen to it.
