Dispelling The Confusion

Offering Feedback, is not the same as posting a Comment on the Website itself.

What'sthe diff?

I remember being first introduced to the "Feedback and Comment thingy" here at WA. Well being a novice at the time, they somehow both looked to be one and the same, however I soon realized they're not, and though seemingly close relatives, they are two different beasts altogether. So as to dispel any confusion, let's take a closer look at each one, shall we?

Let's begin with Website Feedback

The Website feedback platform is Kyle and Carson’s Brainchild, which was created along the same concept as is “paying it forward”. Over the last few years of using it, all I can say is it works very well

Offering feedback is also good training as far as looking at a website from a more critical view,as it develops the ability to become more objective, while building our own site.

Website feedback differs fromwebsite comments in that with feedback, you are giving or receiving constructive criticism“about” the web page, you Do Not leave it as a comment on the webpage

Where to leave Website Feedback?

First let’s look at the “Pay it Forward” concept. You are asked to leave 2 feedbacks before requesting one for yourself. This assures the perpetuity of the system.

Feedback is never posted on the website itself, it is only left is left here, within WA on the following feedback pages

The first link is based purely on an honor system, I use it a lot. Please leave at least 2 feedbacks before requesting your own.

This second "Request Feedback' is based on "earning credits", by offering feedback, then you can spend your credits by requesting feedback for your own website, as and when you need it.

To access this feedback request page from the WA Control Panel;

1) In the left hand column, hover over "site rubix' a panel will then appear

2)Click on Feedback

3) You will then be taken to the request Feedback Page" below

On the next page we will look at "What are comments and where to leave them "

Any questions or comments?

Oh and please remember to Like, much appreciated :)

Generally, we shouldn't comment much on the design and format as these are individual's liking. Google loves rich and unique contents with photo images and linkings for top rankings of our websites and this is somethings we need to remind each others should we fall short of them.

Joseph. Thanks for such an inclusive training on a sore subject that often appears on our WA blog central. This will definitely be a useful tool going forward to refer people to when there's any confusion. Geoff.

Hi Jozeph!
Actually , I'm on Lesson 9, but I have two questions:

First about those four boxes to check off, so the privacy policy does't get ranked. How do I Save them, they're in the SEO section?

Second: when I want to pre-publish, without Google seeing, which Publish button do I use?

Thanks so much for your time!

They're saved when you publish the page, and also, when you have something in draft mode, it is also 'not seen.' If you want to Publish without Google seeing you use the same four boxes.
