Relevant

Next, it must be relevant. This is where you make sure the goal is relevant to your life and aligns with other goals.

Do you think it can be incorporated into the larger picture?

Develop Small Habits

It will take time, as I said. It is crucial to develop daily habits. It will be easier to build small habits and then work towards it every day. Allocate your time and work your plan every day!

To be a better writer, you must write lots. This won't happen overnight. It would be great to develop a writing habit, where you write 1000 words per day. You could also write for 3 hours or more each day.

You will feel better after one week if you make it a routine. You will be more successful after one month than you were at the beginning of week one. You can do this every day and it will help you get closer to your goal.

Benefits of Building Habits

People who are successful have developed many successful habits over time. They have routines that help them get closer to their goals each day. They have optimized their work so they can do more in a shorter amount of time. They have created their routines. Set a timer to keep you focused on your daily task list.

After a while, that hour could turn into 50, 40, or 20 minutes. It will become easier and faster, and you'll have more time for other things.

I love setting goals Lily, but sometimes I feel as if I set too many and eventually find it difficult to achieve them all, then I find myself getting lost in a never ending world of goals and meet very few of them!

I think this training will help me to organize and improve my skills in the goal setting world dramatically!

Much appreciated my friend and enjoy a fabulous day!:-)

Hi Jessie,
I know what you mean. I faced that problem a few years ago so I selected one long-term goal, with 3 short-term goals and baby steps each day to meet those goals.
It can all become overwhelming and stall your progress.
I hope my tips help you to streamline your goal setting.

Hugs

I set daily To do plans where I list my tasks in order of priority for the day. Those reminders make my day productive. I feel a sense of relief each time I finish a task and cross it out.
I still need medium-range and long-term goals to round out my planning.

That sounds like a great working plan Daz.
Sometimes you just have to go with the flow, you will find your mid and long-range goals in time.

I have always had difficulty with setting goals. I often achieve things, but I do not do it in a logical step-by-step manner.

However, that was my past and my future requires more discipline.

Thank you for these steps. I needed them.

You are welcome, Alex.
Really whatever works for you that you are happy with. Better to achieve and not set goals than not achieve at all.

Very pointed, thanks! I never hear thing enough. It is like positive reinforcement. The more we hear something, the more it resonates.

Thanks,
Canty

I totally agree Canty.

I think that I have been hearing about goal setting for about 40 years and it still resonates well with me. I do set my goals and break them down into daily habits which means it's rare for me to not succeed, even if it is later than I had hoped for.

The trick is to make the end goal achievable, not too long a stretch of the imagination.
