What Do You Do With Your Keyword Once You Find The Perfect One?
Great question! My suggestion is to put in a good effort to find a great keyword, but don’t waste too much time trying to find the most perfect one in the world! It’s not necessary to do that and wastes too much time. Try a few things and pick the best one you see. I usually try to limit myself to 5-10 different keyword searches and then I pick what looks best.
Ok, so you've found a great keyword. So now what? Use it!
3 Key Places You Should Use Your Keyword:
1. Your keyword should be the title of your post or page. The title of my post would be: Hiking Tips For Beginners
2. Your keyword should also be used at the beginning of your content in the first 140 characters of your post or page if possible. This has been shown to help boost your ranking! Just be sure it flows smoothly in a sentence.
Google doesn’t like content that doesn’t read well. It is more important to have good- flowing, grammatically correct content than to have the perfect keyword.
The first paragraph of content could go something like this:
“In this blog post, you will find hiking tips for beginners that will help you get started on your adventures. Learn how to be safe and comfortable while having a blast out there!...”
Notice I strategically inserted the keyword right in the very first sentence of my post. Clever, eh?
3. Use your keyword one more time toward the end of your post or page either in a sentence or as a header tag.
I have found your training to be very helpful. Thanks for providing this to us all..Have an awesome day!
