Jay had a training on this type of thing: Some of the answers below referred to some of the things he mentioned. Seeing the full video might help.

Go to this website https://www.whynopadlock.com. It will tell why your site is not secure. Often an image on an affiliate website will make your site not secure. I have even had to shorten code in affiliate links without compromising my affiliate ID to get around the non-secure site issues.

That worked perfectly! With that link I was able to see that some of my picture still has http urls and where they are located. The padlock is back on. Thanks a lot.

It also says ''Your SSL certificate is current. Your SSL certificate expires in 69 days. (2018-08-07) ''.Do you how I can extend it?

And ''You currently have TLSv1 enabled.
This version of TLS is being phased out. This warning won't break your padlock, however if you run an eCommerce site, PCI requirements state that TLSv1 must be disabled by June 30, 2018.'' I run eCommerce. Do you know how I can disable it. Thanks.

I have been searching for the TLSv1 and found this article. It appears we have to install a plugin. I too run an e-commerce site.
Check out this blog https://www.churchbuzz.org/2017/verify-wordpress-server-tls-12-compatible/

As for SSL extension, I think it might be automatically done through Site Plus in the WA membership. But I am not a 100% sure on that.

You will need to speak to your hosting company about this. I had the same issue and they mentioned something along the lines that it won't affect my website.

(NB We had a major project at work to upgrade all our servers to TLS v2 or above, so most vendors of software will be aware of this)

Thank you.

Your Welcome

Most of my http links where in the widget area, for sone reason those where not changed, further, I had to check every post and page in text mode for http

Thanks. I will recheck the links again.

I used cntr+f and filled in http, they all will light up in the text editor, easy seaching

There is a plugin that can do this for you. It'll update all your embedded http to https.
You can use it, then deactivate the plugin.

You don't need to do this manually - there is a plugin you can use. I can't remember the name of it. But PM me if you still need assistance and I will get back to you.

(I sometimes don't get the notification that someone has responded to my post so by PM me, I will see it)

Great, I should have known that, back then, I spend hours searching my websites, thank you, I will remember, do you have a name?

This means that either some of your embedded URL's possibly images have the http tag instead of the https tag on them.

Check a few to see if this is the case.

Just another thought. First check the URL for the logo image for your site, then retest.

ok. Thanks I will check them.

I logo image still have http and I have change it. Thanks a lot

You're welcome!

Only qualitative links from and to websites provide value.
Random linking back and forward has no use.

Thanks Loes. But how do I recognize a qualitative link?

I also read that doing this sort of thing with just any website won't be appeciated by Google, and the result of doing so will have a negative affect on the site's ranking, unless it's linking from an authorative site.

A qualitative link is related to the subject. When you get a link from a website that is close to your website in terms of subject, this link is more valuable than when the topics do not match at all. It goes without saying that a qualitative link contributes to a higher ranking.

Yes, Google will punish you for bad-link-building

Thank you.

Thanks for your quick response.

Only niche related sites would be most effective.

Hi friends,
How can I install how to install premium theme that was downloaded as a folder. There is no zip file in the folder but it has lots of .php and image files. Att

Hi,

Try this link

Based on the file mechanics this one might have to go into the ISTSS (If Stymied Try Site Support) direction!

ok. Thanks

Go to your themes on your dashboard >> add new theme >> upload Theme >> find Theme in your folders on your computer click on it and click open it will take you back to themes upload click instal next to the file name

Thanks for your reply but there is no file named theme in the folder. The file are all codes or programing language used to write the theme,

Have you downloaded the theme?

yes

Then it should be in your files folder it could be named whatever the theme is called.
If you can't find it download it again and make a note of which folder you download it too

ok. I will try that. Thanks
