2. How to report a comment in Live chat as spam?
Again I must say I can’t report my own comment in Live Chat as spam. So for the sake of this training I’ll use a great fellow member that has always abide by the rules. Bro, I didn’t click the button, you’re good! This is just an example.
To report a comment in Live Chat as Spam, go to the comment you want to report. Click the button named “Action” (see the red box marked as 1 in the picture). Then a dropdown window appears and you have to click “Report Spam” (see the red box marked as 2).

Yes, I agree with you! How could most of them know? Let’s remember our first days at WA and how we discovered we could not paste the URL of our site everywhere. And with that in mind we’ll also help newbies! :)

Great training Henry and apropos. I learned not to spam very politely from a member. I have tried to pay that forward with members who appear to be just asking for feedback or comments.

Thank you very much for your comment. It’s great to know they were polite.
I’m also thankful for the kind remarks I received at the beginning. In my own experience, just from the start there were things I didn’t know about the platform. And I honestly didn’t want to break WA’s rules. As well as I’m sure this is the mindset of most WA members.
Regarding those members that address this type of issue, I’m grateful to them in two different ways:
1. That the fellow member took the time out to address the issue. I prefer to be told something that’s been done wrong than not to be told. Because if I continue without knowing and doing it, the consequences will be bigger in the future.
2. And as a cherry on top, it’s nice to receive this type of comment from a person that has grace to address the matter. I like Karen’s motto “With Grace and Gratitude”.

I have never reported anything as spam but I guess I have had a few private messages that I should have.
I do see lots of people putting their URL in posts but know it is out of ignorance rather than actual spam.
I will own up to doing nothing with these either, so I guess I am complicit in allowing it.
I will from here on in either kindly remind the person of the rules or report the spam
I hope lots of us read this training because it is important.

Thank you very much for your words concerning this training. I think we all go through that point where we receive a PM from a totally random person inviting us to try some product outside WA and we really don’t know what to do with that PM. We regularly don’t receive this type of spam, and that’s why when we receive one, we normally ignore it. But I have come to think that if a newbie receives a PM like this, he would be tempted to follow the link, and fall in whatever trap comes after it. So, we can help to stop that type of activity.
