As publishers on the internet, the bounce rate on our website is one of those metrics we have to take into cognizance. It goes a long way to affect your click-through rate(CTR) and the probability of getting more leads.
What then is Bounce Rate?
A bounce is when visitors visit your website and leaves without a click to see other pages on your website. It is an average showing the statistics of visitors who visited your website and did not click to see any other page.
The acceptable bounce rate or what is called a good bounce depends on you and your intended objective. But on a general note, industry experts watch out for a bounce rate between 25 and 70 per cent. They weigh anything above 70 per cent as being below average.
But worth mentioning is the attitude of webmasters; beyond the figures, they see bounce rate as an indication of how user-friendly your websites are. As such, reducing this figure to the barest minimum is usually the overall daily objective.
In this training, we will take a look at five metrics that will help reduce the bounce rate.
