    A good way to measure your social media is to check on likes, comments, shares, and number of followers.

    While likes and follows are a mere indication of how much popularity your brand is gaining. Shares of your content is an indication of exposure of your content to a wider audience.

    Measuring these metrics is no difficult as many of these platforms come with inbuilt analytics. A good example is the popular Facebook, it comes with its complete business manager system

    5. Qualified Leads

      Lead generation is one of the main objectives of getting into content marketing. As such, the number of leads generated should also be one of your metrics for measuring your content marketing success.

      Your leads are usually fed into a marketing funnel which ends at encouraging them to take appropriate actions which are usually purchased. When it comes to evaluating your leads, we must examine the quantity and quality of leads generated.

      The major focus is always in the quality of leads generated – Qualified Leads. Quality leads have a higher probability of buying your products. The best way to evaluate the number of quality leads you have is to ascertain the number of downloads of your content and also the number of purchases completed.

      6. Click-Through Rate

        Your click-through rate is a way of tracking if your visitors are taking expected actions. It is a good way to show the number of your customers who clicked on specific links, compared to those who landed on your article. CTR is a metric that is used to measure ROI for various forms of advertising.

        If you are running an advert and 2 clicked on your link out of 10 persons that landed on your page. Then we will be talking of a CTR of 20 per cent.

        7. Onsite Engagement

          Audience engagement is very important in content marketing. It tells you how your audience is engaging with your content. There are two ways to measure these metrics, the time spent on-page and also your bounce rate.

          While your time on page talks about how long your visitors stay on your content or article. Bounce rate tells you of the number of visitors who visited other pages after landing on your article.

          Google Analytics will be very helpful when it comes to engagement and its parameters.
