3. Launch an inbox rule for all contact emails

This is the process of directing all the contact emails into particular and different email message folders by launching a simple inbox rule. This will potentially reduce and manage the flow of the contact emails you receive daily, weekly, and monthly, and the rule will, of course, help you batch these emails accordingly while responding.

So much time is wasted responding to several contact emails which look so identical without instigating such a rule to control and manage them. And it will definitely have an impact on the efficiency of your blogging routine.

Different people send different contact emails with different areas of importance. So, you would need such a technique using the drop-down menu (Which is feasible with the WordPress plugins earlier mentioned in this tutorial) to manage and respond to your contact emails in order or priority.

You must create a drop-down menu in your contact form that will let your readers send in their contact emails making reference to the "Reasons for sending a contact email" list..

Here are examples of a "Reasons for sending a contact email" list:

  • I want to submit a proposal to write a guest post for you
  • I have an inquiry about a post I read on your blog
  • I want to book a coaching session with you
  • I want to hire you to write content for me
  • I need your proficiency to build up my own blog
  • I have other reasons in mind to send you a contact email.

An alternative to creating a drop-down menu to receive your contact emails is to add a "Subject" box the contact form. And this is feasible with the WordPress plugins I recommended earlier in the training tutorial too.

4. Set a specific time to respond

Setting a specific time to respond to your different contact emails is another vital step to take to ensure nothing hurts your blogging efficiency. The "Reasons for sending a contact email" drop-down list will walk you through the process successfully. Setting expectations along with adding a drop-down menu to your contact form will do the job perfectly even when you get busier with your blog.
