Create Quality Backlinks

Developing high-quality content is the key to earning high-quality backlinks. The best content attracts links naturally, while poorly written content won't get any.

Google has become very particular about link quality since the Penguin Algorithm Update. Backlinks pass link juice only if they satisfy specific quality metrics, including relevancy and domain authority.

The easiest way to acquire backlinks is to comment on other people's blogs. Make sure that your comment is thoughtfully on the content.

Try coming up with creative ways to express your appreciation. You can even ask a question. Some blogs do not allow links to their site, but you can still leave a comment if the author allows you to do so. Alternatively, you can use the Facebook and Disqus comment systems.

Backlinks from highly-ranked sites are incredibly beneficial. Unlike low-quality links, high-quality backlinks are crucial to your site's ranking.

Google uses backlinks to determine rankings and delivers the best results. As a result, making your content irresistible to Google is vital to generating high-quality backlinks.

Once you have these, your website content is guaranteed top-ranked, and your business will be on its way to a successful web presence.

Conclusion

Creating compelling content is the key to conversion. It should inspire your target customer, build trust and establish authority within your niche.

It should also increase ROI. Not only does compelling content attract traffic, but it also earns the love and respect of social media platforms. So, get creative!

Hi Lily...great information, as always. I was curious to know when you update old posts, should you change the date or just republish with some new content?

Thanks for all these tips,
Susan

Hi Susan, this is a question asked often and the answer is, 'It depends'. Lol

If you are updating a post that you know has never been indexed then I would put the new date on it and then ask for it to be indexed. You could even change the keyword title to get it indexed as you are losing nothing by doing this if it has never been indexed. Just change the name in the Permalink as well and it's a whole new post.

But if it's just a 6 month or older post that you want to refresh that has been indexed then add new information or images. Check that you have followed good seo practice and then ask for a Google update. I have Rank Math on my website which shows a Google update under my edit button for each post.

But you can just go to the GSC and ask for indexing.
