On the left sidebar of Elementor page, you’ll find a list of options to create your website homepage.

The page may not look exactly same as the above image, rather the page title (Home) may be visible here at the top. The word "Home" doesn't look good at the top of your homepage. So, probably you'd like to remove the page title.

There are to options to hide the page title.

  1. Go to the settings icon in Elementor at left bottom corner > then activate “Hide Title”.
  2. If it fails, then go back to WordPress dashboard > Customize > General options > Page title > Select “Style” as Hidden.

Then come back to the Elementor page editor again.

Elementor offers to versions, free and Pro. Definitely the pro version contains many extra facilities that are very useful; on the left sidebar, you'll find several locked options, which are available only in Pro version, but the free version is good enough to start with.

Initially, you may avoid purchasing the Pro version and keep editing with the free one.

All the basic options are available in the free version, such as Inner Section, Heading, Image, Text Editor, Video, Button, Divider, Spacebar, Google Map, Icons, star ratings, image carousel, basic gallery, testimonial, social icon, shortcodes, HTML,etc., which you can insert in your page.

Options, such as recent posts, portfolio, gallery, form, login option, sliders, Native menu, Animated headlines, price list, price table, flip box, call of the action button, media and testimonial carousel, reviews, table of contents, countdown times, etc., are some useful options which are available only in the pro version, but it's possible to create a nice homepage excluding these options.

If you own a wocommerce website (e-commerce), and want to use Elementor for editing woocommerce pages, you have to get the pro-version. But for bloggers, this option is not required.

You can install free ElementKit plugin to access some other options to make your webpage more attractive.

Anyway, all the above-mentioned elements will help you create a nice webpage.

Let's move to the next page to check the editing options inside Elementor.

Great training!

Currently, Jay is using the block editor as the latest plugin to create a homepage.

Anyway, my question is how do you move the blog posts to another page?

What I created using cover page of block editor uses only a portion of my page to show my recent posts at the right side.

Hope you or somebody in the community can help.

I believe if you are in the Boot camp training in phase 1 or 2 there is a training about plug ins and the back office that should take you through set ups.

Sorry for my late reply as I was away for a few days.

Block Editor is good to use instead of Elementor or Divi if you are not looking for any dynamic features (Meta Slider, Hovering, and more). Definitely, Elementor is one step ahead and a far advanced tool, but if you don't prefer to install another plugin, it's fine to stay with the Block Editor.

"moving blog posts to another page", do you want to highlight your recent blogs on the homepage?

You can use the Blogroll block for that feature.

In case you want to highlight specific blogs/ featured blogs, you have to add those manually using a different block.
