Here I have chosen a template. Now let's see how to modify it.

Let's start with the header image/ banner.

In the above image, you can see the banner contains several text blocks as well as a background image. You can change anything as you want.

First, choose the main box. Once you choose the edit option, the option in the left sidebar will also change accordingly. Set the layout from the left sidebar.

I’d suggest keeping it “boxed” and set the box size as you want.

In this section, you also set Columns Gap, Height, Column Position, HTML Tag position, etc., as per your need.

From the style option (see the top of the left sidebar --- next to "Layout"), you can change the existing image; just upload another one that you think appropriate according to your niche.

From the “Advanced” section (next to "Style") you can optimize the margin, padding, etc.

Now, move to the text part within the banner. 3 different bocks are available there,

    1. Heading
    2. Divider
    3. Heading/ Text editor

A new tagline may be added to the heading (DESIGN YOUR WORDPRESS). Once you select the block for editing, new options will appear on the sidebar:

    • Content - Change the text here
    • Style - Change the text color, typography, etc.
    • Advanced: modify margin, padding, motion effects, border, attributes, etc.

You can edit the next text in a similar way.

In case, you want to add something in the header banner, you can insert the same from the left sidebar.

Suppose you want to insert a button for the call of action. Grab the button from the left sidebar and drop in the box (see the following image).

You get the button in its place. Now select it and edit from the left sidebar, i.e., add text on the button, adjust the size of the button, etc.

You can edit the other options in a similar way.

Let's show you another block on the next page, where we'll also discuss about the preferred version of Elementor. Should you use free version or the pro version?

    Great training!

Currently, Jay is using the block editor as the latest plugin to create a homepage.

Anyway, my question is how do you move the blog posts to another page?

What I created using cover page of block editor uses only a portion of my page to show my recent posts at the right side.

Hope you or somebody in the community can help.

I believe if you are in the Boot camp training in phase 1 or 2 there is a training about plug ins and the back office that should take you through set ups.

Sorry for my late reply as I was away for a few days.

Block Editor is good to use instead of Elementor or Divi if you are not looking for any dynamic features (Meta Slider, Hovering, and more). Definitely, Elementor is one step ahead and a far advanced tool, but if you don't prefer to install another plugin, it's fine to stay with the Block Editor.

"moving blog posts to another page", do you want to highlight your recent blogs on the homepage?

You can use the Blogroll block for that feature.

In case you want to highlight specific blogs/ featured blogs, you have to add those manually using a different block.
