Tip 1 - Write A Tagline

The first impression is decisive. The best first impression that you can make on a home page is: Make immediately clear what the site is about. Because that is the first thing new visitors want to know. Many home pages include the absence of any explicit explanation.

A nice solution for this is the tagline. That is a short sentence near the logo, usually the upper left of the homepage. The tagline says in a few words what a website is about. It is one of the most important texts on the site. I don't even really known companies and institutions without. Even though many visitors know your name, they obviously do not know what to expect exactly on your website.

Summarize a catchy together where your site stands out

Be objective: say only that you're the only one, biggest or cheapest if it is really true.

DO NOT WRITE IN CAPITALS: THAT'S LOUD AND SCREAMING!

Use words for which you want to be found in search engines.

Use as your slogan or tagline not a payoff. That's meant for branding.

The tagline has a different purpose: user-friendliness.

Pay attention to the tagline.

A few lines and they explain the whole site.
