So ...

Upon activation, go to Settings => BJ Lazy Load to configure the plugin settings:

As you can see, you can apply the lazy load feature to images inserted into your content, images used in text widgets, post thumbnails, gravatars, images, and even iframes.

Also, you can upload a custom image to be used as a placeholder.

Finally, you can define the threshold limit (how close to the viewport the element should be when the plugin will load it).

Don't forget to click the "Save Changes" button ...

Now let's make a test ...

Hi Zed - that's a coincidence! I was just checking my site speed and Mr G suggested I use a lazy loader! :-)

I had already looked for a plugin aand was going to try a3 Lazy Loader but it hasn't been tested with the latest version of WP. Neither has BJ, though. There are others which have been tested but not with so many users. Why select BJ and will it be safe?

It's your choice Ian ... In my personal opinion BJ is the best and simplest ...

But you can use any lazy loading plugin ... What matters is the concept itself ...

The wast majority of the existing 60K plugins are not tested with several WP versions ... but, that doesn't meen that they are unsafe ... Usually you'll see a warning message on the plugin page if a plugin wasn't tested for a very long time (for example during two three major WP upgrades) in which case you should try to find another plugin ... otherwise they are OK
