Now that you know why it is important to come up with a consistent content posting schedule, I want to give you a little insight into what I personally do to help jumpstart the rankings of the content I publish. Though this is what I do, your regimen may be different. You need to come up with what works right for you. But if you want to copy what I do, I have no problem with that.

WHAT I DO THAT HAS WORKED WELL

I post once a week on the same day because right now one post per week is more my speed. I am currently building up my saved “Drafts” so that I will always have content on hand ready to post, should I not be able to pump out new content in time for my posting date. The day of the week I choose is Wednesday, “Hump Day,” because it is dead center in the week.

Another reason why I like to publish once per week is that it keeps my last blog post visible in the top spot of the blog roll for an entire week and creates more engagement. Then when I do publish a new post, Google sees that my Home page has fresh new content on a weekly basis.

Currently on average I publish more blog posts then I do pages, about 80% blog posts and 20% pages. My website is currently at 25 Pages and 30 Posts. When my website was younger I had way more pages than posts.

This is perfectly fine with me because I have my Home page set up in the default WordPress setting as a blog roll. Being that Google loves a website with many internal links, having your home page as a blog roll is in essence a page of internal links.I will be discussing Internal Links in my next training.

I like that schedule, to keep posts in draft and publish one a week on the same day, thanks I am going to work on that!

You are welcome Loes. It is definitely a time saver and a less stressful way to stay on a consistent schedule.

This is so helpful! Thank you so much for your epic posts. I always thought that creating a new post every day was a good idea but I see what you mean. I would likely run out of ideas of content plus I am bad with consistency.
I'm thinking of publishing one new post every saturday which I hope will be OK. This should save me a ton of time for other things (like programming, lol).

Like I said in the training, it doesn't matter how much you post every week, just make sure you consistently do it week after week.

You can do what I do. Have a few saved posts/pages in draft mode. Then when it comes time to post, if you haven't written one up, choose from one of the saved drafts.

I want to keep my consistency up , trying to figure out how to best balance being helpful on WA and developing my own website. They are both really important to me since I learn so much from peoples questions.

When I was in the beginning stages of developing my website I devoted 80% to the website and 20% to the WA community. Though I love helping people, my website is more important.

Now that my website is more established, I can help out here a little more by creating these training tutorials.

Thant was my approach to what you are experiencing.

Thanks Lance! I hope the fire doesn't go out because I have 3 more to do. I just don't want to release them all at once, so I am trying to space them out by a couple of days. :)
