On most Social Media sites you cannot post an Affiliate Link to anything so you have to shorten the link first.

Here are two places that I have used. When you use them you want to make sure that you are signed in at each of them so that you can come back later and look at your stats on your link to see how it is doing..

https://goo.gl

https://bitly.com

On goo.gl you will see this screen.

Again make sure you are signed into Google before shortening the link

Click on the box that says Your original URL here.

If you still have the link from the blog post copied then

Press Ctrl and the letter C at the same time and your link will be in the box.

Click shorten URL and then copy the shortened link

.Word of warning. Google + will not let you use these links to post as they are drastically cutting down on affiliate links being posted. You can use them on Facebook or on most other social media sites but now on Google+. How to do that will be another training to come soon.

So moving on.

Once you have copied the link you can post it where you need to. Now here is the fun part. You can come back again and make sure you are logged in and see how you link has been doing.

If you hover over the link you will see this at the end.

Click on the three dots and this drop down box appears. Now click on Analytics Data and you will see this.

It get a lot of useful information like where your clicks are coming from, what browsers they are using, what countries they are from and much more.

The key is to be logged in when you shorten a link and when you check on the link.

Now that you have the link you can share it on Social Media and track the results you get.
