In this training I am going to walk you through the process of embedding any video from YouTube directly into your website. I also am going to spend a bit of time discussing when and where to integrate the videos, and whether it is appropriate to embed other publishers videos into your website.
People can have the tendency to go "video heavy" with their website when they learn they can embed any video they like, and I want you to be careful about this. Too much use of video in a site can lead to traffic leak and create lower conversions as it can serve as a distraction if it is not done correctly.

Thanks @Kyle, I have been embedding videos into most of my blog posts using the format you described, however i have noticed that the site speed is dropping substantially on posts with the embedded video. from high 90'2 to low 70's and even worse.
When I remove the video the speed goes back up.
Any thoughts on this?

Yes, what you should add is Lazy Load plugin. This will give you the option to defer videos and images from loading until your visitor is actually to that point on your page and will really help with your videos.
So go to your plugins, search for this and add it. This will improve your website drastically.
