Step 4: Check Your Website
Make sure you check your site to see that a space is being taken up from your new AdSense ad. Even though it won’t be live, the ad will still occupy the space of where you placed it.
Tip: To be certain that an ad is there, take your cursor and highlight the area as I’ve done below. The ad is blank but it’s there!
Congrats! You’ve now successfully placed AdSense on your site!
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to share some of your own tips!

Hi, I am trying to insert banners and even Google Adsense, but obviously just copy/pasting the link into the blog/page doesn't work...
I have looked under the Appearance tab on my Wordpress site, but I do not seem to have Widgets there! Please tell me this is not the only way...

Wow that was easy and quick. I signed up for ad sense but I didn't paste it on my website because I didn't know how to do it then I received an email today saying paste your ad code so I went to type and look on how to do it. I found your tutorial. Very easy to understand. Thanks a lot Belinda. Jenny

Hey there Belinda thx for this, worked great for me.
Just wondering, do you know if a single ad unit is set to auto-size, can a person simply use that one single ad unit throughout a site (ie in a sidebar widget as well as in main content on various pages) and have the whole thing work out OK?
The reason I ask this is because in the interest of keeping things as simple as possible, I would be happy to run with a single ad unit if it does the trick.
Cheers,
chris

Thanks I got my adsense ad up and running but it does not fit properly. The right edge is cut off and for some of them you can't read the whole thing. Not sure what to do about that. I've posted a question so hopefully I will get an answer. http://weight-management-diet.com/
