There are a lot of ways to improve your site speed. Using a Caching plugin is another popular method.
However, the problem with Caching plugin is that it may have conflicts with other plugins to cause more issues on your site. Also, you have to deactivate the caching plugin every time when you want to edit your site.
Another downside of a caching plugin is that it only solve the site speed issue after the page has been loaded once. If you're confused by how caching plugin works, you may refer to this post or you can do a simple search online.
My main point here is that I believe image size is the major problem for most people with a slow website. That's why I want to share what I did and am doing every time when I upload new images.
I've personally seen real results on my website. This may not work for everyone because I don't know the exact problem your site is facing. If my strategy doesn't work on your end, you can always contact SiteSupport. I'm sure they'll do their best to help you :)
