Step 1: Channel Creation

• After entering the site, a menu will appear on the left, in which you’ll need to select "My Channel".
• A pop-up window appears; this is where you need to set the name of your channel and click on "Create Channel".

Step 2: Title

How do you choose a name for your channel? There are simple but good options:

• If this is a personal video diary, then name the channel by your first or last name. You can also use the nickname - the main thing is that it must be easy to write and remember.
• Use a company or brand name for a corporate channel. For example, for a construction company, you can make the name as “Supreme Constructions” (that’s if the name is yet to be used). If it’s a children's channel, the name; “World of Children” is suitable.
• Congratulations! You now have a YouTube channel. Now, you need to give it the appropriate appearance.

Step 3: Channel Avatar

For the channel avatar to be liked by both you and your viewers, you need to change it, and not leave it in the YouTube default state.

To do this, move the mouse cursor over to the main icon; it is located at the top right corner; click on it.

The “Customize channel” tab will show up; click on the “Edit” icon to navigate straight to the Google About Me page. At this point, you’ll need to upload a photo that will be the channel’s avatar.

As an avatar, you should use a personal photo, a stylized illustration of your photo, a company or brand logo.
