Let's Adjust Settings In The Snipping Tool

1/ Open the Snipping Tool program from the Taskbar, or from the computer desktop if you saved it as a shortcut there.

2/ Click on the Options button on the top right of the menu. It will open to a dialogue box similar to one above.

3/ As you can see, I've set my Ink Colour to Red.

Now you may well ask, "Why do I want to do that?" - this is because Snipping Tool has a nifty feature that you can draw on your Screenshot once you've captured it to point out something you with to highlight.

I've set my capture to Always Copy Snips To Clipboard - that way I can always immediately paste it somewhere if that's what I intent to do. However, with WA, one has to save it as a file first and then insert it into a blog. More on that later.

The setting: Prompt to Save snips Before Exiting - proves to be a very valuable one if you forget to save the image you captured. So make sure you've selected it to show a tick.

Use the other settings as and when you see fit.

Now that we've Setup The Options, let's see what Other Preferences there are.

That's interesting... not heard of that one. Is it an app, or online access only? Uhhh... I think you meant to type ScreenGrab?

Sorry about the typo. If you're using Firefox as your browser you can use the Add-On feature, or Google ScreenGrab and download it from there. Hope this helps.

You are just full of information aren't you?

Thank you for this. I have always wondered how people do this and whenever I have asked no one has wanted to tell me.
