OK we have looked at comments on our own blog but what about leaving comments for others, especially here on WA within the Bootcamp or Classrooms or SiteComments?
In my opinion it is no use to leave a comment like,
- "Hey great post"
- "wow love your website"
- "very cool, I didn't know that"
- "Keep posting, this is brill"
These are all too short and not worth the effort. Remember Google can track your every move online. When using profiles you need to make sure when you comment you are putting in a bit of effort as Google can then see you as a decent commenter and give you points for anything your author is on. (Wealthy Affiliate requires you put in a few sentences so you can't really put in a low word count anymore)
Google has changed its algorithms to track online comments and will de-rank your profile if you do not provide relevant comments. This is especially bad for anyone trying to build an online brand.
If Google thinks your not good enough you will have a hard time getting content ranked.
To counteract this make sure to'
Always put in at least TWO sentences in your comments and make it relevant to the post.
I will always try and put in a question so the blog owner has something to work with in their response to my comment.
If you consider that your comment may be on a very busy high profile blog post getting loads of traffic, and all that traffic is seeing your comment with a relevant question there is a great chance that traffic will follow your link back to your website or profile to find more out about you.
This in essence is the art to backlinking and can be a great way to gain loads of extra traffic. It does take time to find blog posts and comment on them but if you put it into your daily tasks it can build up very quickly over time.
Having a few different online profiles is good when trying to leave comments online. If you have a money making blog then the bootcamp websites is a great place to work.
However if your niche is on "dog toys" or "kids shoes" then your not going to want to get links from money making blogs back to your niche site. Its better to use a basic profile to do that.
As long as you think about the link and where you want it to go then you can build great indexing across a wide network of places using the correct profile.
I hope you found this material helpful and it has inspired you to provide better comments after all better comments will provide better traffic to your own website in the long run. It may be a lot of work but all that extra effort will eventually pay off.

Lol, glad you did cos all 3 comments for WA reviews which I made today, I was afraid to use my Bootcamp website and used my niche website instead. That clearly shows how confusion can arise from all the recent discussions going on about how to/not to leave comments.
