STEP 5:

During this training, I used NameCheap because that is the third-party registrar that I like to use because of the pricing. You can use any registrar you choose to purchase your domain name.

No matter which registrar you use (other than WA), you will still only need to point the DNS nameservers to WA as long as you are not moving the domain registrar that you purchased from to a different registrar such as WA.

Use my training only if you are purchasing your domain name from any domain registrar outside of WA such as NameCheap for example and you don’t want to change the registrar.

Wherever you purchase your domain name from will have appropriate instructions regarding how to point a domain name server to another hosting company. You will have to implore the instructions from the particular registrar you use.

If you decide to transfer domain name registration from third-party registrar to the WA registrar entirely, your future renewals will be in WA and the costs will be at WA prices. If this is your choice, I recommend that you refer to the training previously created by Stephanie Hill at this link:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-transfer-your-domain-from-namecheap-to-wa

Stephanie was very thorough in her training. Steph’s training will show you how to purchase domain names directly from WA and also show you how to transfer a domain entirely from a third-party registrar to WA’s registrar.

Well, thanks for taking time out to review this training. I hope that it was easy to understand and you will find it to be useful.

If you found this training about how to change a domain name server to be helpful, I would appreciate it if you would click on that “Like” button!

Thank you very much. It's a lot easier to just point our DNS nameservers that transferring from one registrar to another.

The domains at WA are more affordable than elsewhere when you add in all of the support you are literally given.

Hi Jerry,

I actually agree with your statement when it comes to the worth of WA. I was just commenting on the actual cost of the domain name.

I haven't purchased a domain name yet from WA, but from feedback from other members of this community, the average costs of a domain name from WA is about $13 and some change. Compared to the costs from NameCheap it's about $2 to $3 more at WA.

In the scheme of things that might not seem a lot to most of us, but it might make a difference to others and that is why I mentioned the cost of the training.

Thanks, Jerry for taking the time to review my training and your feedback.
